You Know the Feeling
Someone says something, something other people brush off, and it lands in you like a stone in still water. They’ve moved on by dinner. You’re still ruminating on Tuesday.
You’ve been stuck in your head for as long as you remember. But no amount of thinking ever seems to generate clarity or peace. Self-doubt follows you like a shadow.
It’s a terrible cycle: you analyze, journal, ask Google, pore over it with friends… but somehow you end up more confused than ever.

The Reason You Reach Out
A wake-up call doesn’t always announce itself.
It can be a moment in your marriage you can’t explain away. Such as: you got drunk with friends and gave someone your number. And that’s something you never thought you’d do.
Or you got into an argument with your spouse. You blew up and stormed out of the house. But a big part of you knows that wasn’t just anger.
Sometimes, it’s a drinking pattern you’re watching and are not sure what to do with. Or it’s a breakup you haven’t finished processing. Or trauma you’ve been outrunning for years.
It might be that the people in your life are genuinely wonderful, but they’re also unsuited to hold what you’re carrying.
Most of the people who reach out to me for therapy have something in common:
They’ve talked to friends. They’ve listened to the podcasts. They’ve done the self-help. They’ve followed the “Mel Robbins” type figure. And they still haven’t achieved the relief they’re seeking.
Something in them knows that what’s going on lies somewhere deeper than what any of that has been able to reach.
Therapy that Works
I take a pragmatic approach to therapy. I am interested in what works and not in trendy therapies that serve the therapist’s ego more than the client’s benefit.
I train in and deliver time-tested interventions from interpersonal and systems psychotherapy that help people grow from the inside out.
Therapy with me isn’t just about treating surface symptoms. I get into the architecture of the psyche and focus on the kinds of changes that help people develop their whole selves.

My Approach in Session
I want to give you a better sense of how I approach the work we’ll do together.
Therapy has to touch a person’s heart to transform them. There has to be emotional resonance. I pay attention to whether our work is reaching you emotionally, and I’ll support you in finding that resonance.
I engage with the “person behind the persona.”
In our sessions, I’ll talk to you about my experience of you and give you real-time feedback.
I “go there” to get to the essence of the issue.
I “listen for the unspoken thing.”
I will confront the anxiety-driven strategies you’ve been using to manage your relationships.
I will tell you what I think while respecting your autonomy. I know where I stand in a way that helps my clients become more confident in themselves.
Life on the Other Side of Therapy
I help my clients find freedom. Freedom from childhood conditioning. Freedom to choose their path. Freedom to feel the full range of emotions without fear or judgment.
My clients learn to listen to themselves and trust their own experience, so they can become their own person.
Life doesn’t get easier, necessarily, but they feel surer about who they are and where they stand. They start speaking more truthfully in their important relationships and taking a stand in the world.
Through our work together, my clients learn to set better boundaries and say “no.”
They become strong enough to cry.
They learn how to grieve, but it feels so good to finally feel real feelings.
Life in Full Color
I’ve heard my clients say the transformation is like going from Kansas to Oz. They finally discover how it feels to live life “in color.”
Sometimes, my clients make big changes. They leave a marriage, start a business, or go to culinary school. They take a chance on themselves after years of conformity.
Most importantly, my clients learn how to tolerate uncertainty and even live well in it.
It’s a big journey.
But can any of us afford to keep waiting on the life we were meant to live?
