About

Therapy That Follows Your Lead

Clients seek me out for my ability to deeply understand the issues they’re facing and provide clear, actionable insights for growth.

While many therapy approaches focus on the clinician’s “technique” and can feel performative, sessions with me are more like a structured, collaborative dialogue.

You bring the agenda. I bring the therapy.

The conversation flows naturally, and I continually bring the focus back to you: your feelings, your needs, your wants, and your choices.

I guide you to access your inner wisdom and deepest desires. We travel back and forth in time, allowing you to access both adult and child parts.

Therapy That Gives You Real Value

Most of my clients stay with me for years, because they’re receiving something that feels genuinely worth their time and investment.

My goal is always for you to leave our sessions feeling you gained real value from the time we spent together.

Therapy can focus on many different things: current problems, past experiences, feelings accessed through bodily awareness, and the immediate process between therapist and client.

Each of those dimensions offers its own kind of insight. Therapy moves between them fluidly based on what’s most alive for you and what I’m noticing as our work continues to unfold.

The Unique Power of the Therapy Relationship

Working through our relationship is one of the most impactful parts of therapy.

All the strategies you’ve learned to keep yourself safe in relationships are also present in the therapy relationship.

As a therapy client, we’re usually doing the same things in therapy that we did to survive in our families growing up.

The therapy relationship is unique because we can look together at what’s happening in the moment when things go wrong and use the opportunity to heal wounded parts and come out stronger on the other side.

Whether You Come Alone or With a Partner

My practice serves both individual men and women as well as couples and families.

Male clients appreciate my candor, my intellect, and my respect for the innate wisdom they bring to the therapy process. They often tell me I’m one of the few people who will challenge them on their less helpful behaviors. Where many men feel outnumbered with a female therapist, my male clients often find a partner and collaborator in me.

With women, I encourage self-trust, self-compassion, and honoring the deep oceans of feeling that often live underneath very competent exteriors. Women appreciate my respect for their individual pace of healing and growth, and my support in resisting pressure from anxious partners, family, and friends to conform.
