Family Therapy
The Home You Grew Up in Is Showing Up in Yours
One night, you hear it in your own voice. The same tone your parent used on you, now coming out of your mouth at your child.
You and your partner don’t agree on much about how to raise them. You’ve had the same argument about screens, homework, and bedtime more times than you can count.
And the kids are watching it all.
You see it settle onto them, the way the tension in the house lands on their shoulders.
What keeps you up at night is a fear you don’t say out loud: that you’re handing your children the very thing you spent your life trying to leave behind.

Your Family Runs on a System You Didn’t Choose
The argument about screen time is real. So is the standoff over homework.
Underneath them runs something bigger: the way your family handles anxiety, sets boundaries, and repairs after a rupture.
Most of that was set long before you became a parent. You learned how to be in a family from the family that raised you. So did your partner.
When those two blueprints meet under one roof, your children feel the friction most.
What Changes the System
The work is learning to stay steady and clear inside yourself, even when your child pushes every button you have.
Family systems therapy calls this differentiation.
It’s the engine of a steadier home.
Break the Cycle in Your Home
I work with the whole system, not just the one child everyone points to as the problem.
My root framework is family systems therapy – how each person’s role shapes and is shaped by the others.
Together, we’ll trace the patterns you inherited and decide, on purpose, which ones stay and which ones end with you.
Some of that work is practical: clearer boundaries, more respectful communication, and real cooperation in place of nightly power struggles.
Some of it goes deeper, into how you show up as a parent when your child is at their hardest.

What Working with Me Looks Like
I draw on Gottman and EFT when they fit. But I don’t base my work on any single method.
Above all, I’m for your family, which means I won’t only tell you what’s easy to hear.
Real change in a family system takes time, so I won’t promise you a quick fix.
I’m also skilled with complex and high-conflict situations, and with families who’ve had unsatisfying experiences in therapy before.
A Home Where Your Whole Family Can Grow
One night, you catch yourself about to repeat the old pattern. And this time, you choose something different.
Your kids watch their parents disagree and then repair. They learn that conflict isn’t the end of love.
The house feels more stable – the kind of home you wanted to give them all along.
Every member of a family deserves to live in peace and safety. The family becomes the ground where each person grows into who they’re meant to be.
